If you’re feeling unsatisfied with your life, here are 3 tips, to help you create a life you’ll love.
Creating a life I love has been a major focus for me the last 6 months. I have done a lot of self-actualization and work, and I am going to share three tips I’ve used to help me create a life I love.
- Tune out the noise. – For many of us we were told that going to college and getting a degree was the only way to be successful in life. I graduated with my Masters Degree last year, and I was moving up in my career. I should have been happy. But, it didn’t take me long to figure out that I was moving in a direction that wasn’t true to myself. I started to tune out the noise. And by that, I mean I started to get real with myself about what I wanted. Not what I thought everyone else expected of me.
- Be happy with what you have right now. – This lesson has been a long hard lesson for me. Being happy with right now is important so you can open yourself up for what is to come. Being happy with your current situation doesn’t mean you don’t work towards your goals. It means that you are happy in the moment. If you’re unhappy now, you’ll be unhappy after you achieve your goals and that is a real downer.
- Practice positive affirmations. – Positive affirmations are a great way to reprogram your mind to be happy with the
now. It also helps you create a positive mindset which impacts your decision-making skills, and your ability to handle difficult situations. With that amount of negativity, you experience daily through the news and other people, feeding your mind, body, and soul with positivity can be very productive. I want to note that this is even more important if you’ve faced a lot of tragedy in life such as abuse. You’ve gotta keep pushing positivity to the front of your mind.
